Runamuk

VISITED IN PERSON

The most complete recovery setup I have seen outside of a dedicated medical facility. Two cold baths at different temperatures is a real differentiator. The 6-8°C bath is serious cold exposure. The 11-13°C option is accessible for athletes working up to full immersion. Having the jacuzzi for contrast therapy on the same site is what makes the protocol work.

Runamuk in Canggu is built around the idea that training and recovery happen in the same place. The facility combines running infrastructure, recovery tools, a coworking space, a healthy food offer, and a running store. For athletes working remotely from Bali, it removes the logistics problem: you do not need to cross the island to stack a run, a recovery session, and a working afternoon.

The recovery setup is the standout. Two cold baths at different temperatures means you can work progressively: start at 11-13°C while your body adapts over days or weeks, then move to 6-8°C for deeper cold stress once the protocol is established. Most facilities offer one temperature. Two gives you a protocol rather than a one-off event.

The jacuzzi completes the contrast sequence: hot-cold alternation is well-supported for reducing acute inflammation and accelerating clearance of training byproducts. Having a sauna and both hot and cold baths at the same location with the control to run the sequence properly is rare.

What’s available

Two cold baths at 6-8°C and 11-13°C. Jacuzzi. Dry sauna. Running tracks on site. Stairmaster. Coworking space with full working setup. Healthy food. Running store for gear and supplies.

Who it’s for

Athletes training and working remotely in Bali. The coworking element makes Runamuk a viable full-day location. Run in the morning, recover, work through the afternoon. The dual cold bath setup also makes it the best choice for athletes doing structured cold exposure protocols rather than ad hoc dips.
